Partnership of Coding for Innovation
How can you improve your innovation process? By learning coding skills! The Code.Innovate.Connect project.
That’s how a regional project was made by the name “The Code.Innovate.Connect project” and it consisted of 3 programs:
#code; free programming workshops,
#innovate; business challenges; creating new Smart City, Smart Villages or Sports data solutions under mentor’s eye and pitching on semifinal event,
#connect; pitching of the winning teams of the cooperating countries at the final networking event in Slovenia.
The Ypsilon Institute from Slovenia with local partners from the region (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Macedonia) organized Code.Innovate.Connect project with the support of SAP. Program partner in BiH was CERK in cooperation with E-lab at Faculty of Economics Banja Luka with Alumni Fellow Ljubiša Mićić. Another Alumni, Srđan Sukara, participated as one of the motivating speakers in one of the events.
Altogether, 30 young people from Banja Luka passed basic coding workshops (HTML, CSS, SAP cloud and JS) and over 20 people in Banja Luka participated in Innovate business case challenge. There were two events organized in Banja Luka (Innovate Yourself conferences) where more than 80 participants that could learn best practices from technology, marketing and businesses experts. Final teams presented new solutions in areas of smart city, smart villages and sport data. One team from each country went to finals to Ljubljana, where it presented winning solution to representatives of SAP company.
