Youth Community in STEM
Tanja Madžarević, former PFP Alumni and proud winner of the Alumni Impact Awards Winner in Spring 2018, led a project Youth Community in STEM.
Youth Community in STEM was about 10 different tech trainings held for youth across 5 towns in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Tanja was supported by her mentor from the Chicago, Scott Steward.
Results of the project were impressive:
- In total 200 youth ages from 6 to 25 were trained in tech, robotics, mobile app dev, data science and entrepreneurship.
- STEM youth community was created in Tuzla and
- The largest global hackathon “NASA Space Apps Challenge” organized for the first time in BiH in 2017.
Great impact achieved through this project was also recognised by the State Department Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs through their Alumni Impact Awards Winner that Tanja won in Spring 2018.
